Maggese or Fallow

In Italian ‘maggese’ means fallow, an agricultural practice that consists of leaving the land without sowing to increase its fertility and encourage regeneration. By following this practice, in fact, wild herbs recolonise the soil, regenerating it. The name of our farm Tenute il Maggese aims to regenerate not only the land, but also the individual who, by spending time in contact with Nature on our properties, benefits in turn from regeneration.
