What to visit on foot

  • the Menhir of Perdalonga via the dirt road at the back of the property (approximately a 30-minute walk);
  • the Archaeological Area S’Ortali ‘e su Monti of San Salvatore, which includes: a nuraghe, a tomb of the giants, various Domus de Janas, a megalithic circle, two Menhirs and a small church (about 30 minutes walk);
  • le spiagge del Lido di Orrì e la spiaggia di S’Orologiu (un’ora a piedi)

What to visit by bike

In order of proximity from our estate:

  • the fine sandy beaches of Lido di Orrì, ideal for families with children thanks to their shallow waters as well as pleasant the temperature of the sea (distance: 6.2 km);
  • Cea, a beach of white sand and shallow waters characterised by two unique red stacks, which can be reached by canoes or pedal boats available for hire on the beach (distance: 7.2 km);
  • Porto Frailis beach, dominated by the presence of the San Gemiliano tower, a defensive tower dating back to the 17th century, which can be visited free of charge (distance: 7.6 km);
  • the Red Rocks of Arbatax, red porphyry rocks that emerge imposingly from the emerald waters, in a striking chromatic contrast (distance: 8.2 km);
  • Isula Manna beach, characterised by a lush pine forest equipped with tables for public use, is the perfect place for a picnic under the shade with a view of an islet in the distance (distance: 10 km).

What to visit by car

  • hike to Cala Goloritzé, declared a UNESCO natural heritage site, starting from Golgo, a natural paradise nestled in the mountains (3.5 km hike with a difference in altitude of around 400 metres);
  • excursion to Gorroppu, the highest canyon in Europe immersed in the Sardinian Supramonte (it is recommended to do this with the help of specialised guides);
  • excursion to the Tacco di Perda ‘e Liana to admire the Gennargentu, the highest mountain relief on the island (easy excursion but with limited shade);
  • beaches of Su Sirboni and Coccorocci, both belonging to the beautiful coastline of Cardedu;
  • Santa Maria Navarrese, a seaside town and port ideal for tasting the flavours of Sardinian gastronomy and taking a walk to the Saracen tower bearing the same name. We recommend driving to the square in front of the Bellavista Hostel to admire the breathtaking views, either by day or by night;
  • Perda Longa, a rocky bay near Baunei dominated by a gigantic limestone monolith 128 metres high. The peak lends itself to rock climbing and the area offers several trekking trails;
  • Bau Muggeris, a dam at the height of the Primo Salto del Flumendosa, the first artificial dam on the river with the highest capacity in Sardinia. The reservoir, often frequented by pasturing cows and surrounded by mountains, offers a wonderful view that conveys a profound sense of peace.
